AB Physio COVID-19 Plan

Keeping our staff and clients as safe as possible, whilst managing treatment needs.

In-Clinic Safety Plan

  • When arriving at the clinic, please remember to check-in via the SafeWA or ServiceWA apps or ask us for our manual register.
  • Our clinic will maintain extra cleaning protocols of common areas and treatment rooms to provide high levels of hygiene and protection for all staff and clients.
  • All staff – physiotherapists, massage therapists and reception staff – are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. During treatment your physio will be wearing N95 masks and if you are unvaccinated, also protective eyewear.
  • To reduce crossover of patients and assist with social distancing, we are staggering appointments where possible. Please arrive only 1-2 minutes prior to your appointment and please wear your mask when you enter the clinic.
  • Appointments for those who aren’t vaccinated will be booked at the start and end of the day where possible to reduce crossover with other patients.
  • Anyone with a mask exemption must provide a copy to the front desk to keep on file – this can be emailed to admin@abphysiotherapy.com.au.
  • If you are a close contact of a positive case, we will require you to return a negative test 7 days from initial contact period before returning to the clinic.

Mask-Wearing Protocols at the Clinic

  • In order to keep our staff and clients in the clinic as safe as possible, we have a consistent policy for all those who attend AB Physiotherapy.
  • Anyone attending the clinic for one-on-one treatment must wear a mask. Anyone unvaccinated will be required to wear an N95 mask – these can be purchased at the front desk for $5.
  • If you have a medical mask exemption, you are required to bring the relevant documentation so that reception can cite this and append to your clinic file, or alternatively email the documentation to the clinic at admin@abphysiotherapy.com.au
  • If you are unvaccinated or only single dose vaccinated ,then we require you wear an N95 mask when attending, and we will schedule your appointment at the beginning or end of the day to reduce client numbers in the clinic.

Classes/Hydrotherapy/Telehealth

  • Per the Government’s mandates, from 31/01/2022, all those attending classes must be vaccinated against COVID-19. If you are not vaccinated by then, we can look at setting you up with a home program to progress with, and we can check in with you during one-on-one appointments.
  • Both hydrotherapy venues – Kirby Melville and State Swim – have confirmed that any one attending must show proof of vaccination upon entry and wear a mask when not in the pool. Please remember to bring both proof of vaccination and your mask with you to all hydrotherapy appointments.
  • Telehealth appointments are also available for anyone who would like to check-in with their physio but may be hesitant to attend the clinic. Studies have shown that Telehealth is still an effective way to receive expert care.
  • We understand that as Covid situations change, we may be required to adjust this current plan, and we will endeavour to keep you updated.

If you’re unwell, or required to isolate, please remember to reschedule your appointment with us.

We thank you for your understanding and support so that we can focus on your wellbeing and our community in a safe and respectful way.
